What is Deep TMS?

Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS) uses magnetic fields to stimulate targeted brain areas. Sessions are typically brief, non-invasive, and do not require downtime. Deep TMS can support care for conditions such as depression, OCD, anxious depression, and smoking addiction.

Ease of treatment

A padded helmet delivers stimulation for about 18–20 minutes. Many people return to daily activities right after a session. No anesthesia or hospitalization is required.

Who can benefit?

Deep TMS is FDA-cleared for clients with:

• Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
• Anxious Depression
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
• Smoking Addiction

Many people who have not improved enough with medication alone find Deep TMS worth discussing with a provider.

Safety and side effects

Deep TMS has been studied extensively. Most people experience minimal side effects. Some report a mild, temporary headache or scalp discomfort where the helmet rests. People with certain implanted electronic or magnetic devices, or a history of seizures, may not be candidates—your provider will review this carefully.
